Maple Trees

Maple trees are a diverse group of deciduous trees belonging to the genus Acer in the Sapindaceae family. These trees are widely distributed across the Northern Hemisphere and are admired for their stunning fall foliage and distinctive winged seeds, known as "samaras" or "helicopters." Maple leaves are typically palmate, with lobes radiating from a central point, giving them a recognizable shape. The size and shape of maple leaves can vary significantly among different species and cultivars. Maple trees are also valued for their sap, which is tapped and used to produce maple syrup.
